bad day

What do you do when you have a bad day? What makes a bad day? What makes you lose your smile in life? Is it life, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness? What has to go wrong to label it that way? Does it always seem like you're always life is constantly above your head, and you must struggle to stay afloat or you'll drown? What time of day can a bad day start? Anytime?

Why does a day go sour? Why does your feeling of self worth go down the crapper? Are others always out to get you? Is it just silly? Is it really serious? Does it matter? Can it be a heart breaking? Can it be anger? Can it be lack of attention? Can it be lack of determination ... or patience...? Is it all worth fighting for? ... When is enough NOT enough?

What will it take to entrust faith and your own personal feelings into someone? What will it take to keep that faith? What will it take to prove yourself true to another...

Shopping the 'book...

Listening - Utatsuki Kaori - Kienai Omoi

Today was rather intensly boring at work.
Didn't really know what to do, nor did I really feel like being there.
There were a bunch of us at work today so there weren't really that many delegated tasks for us 'floor keepers.'
I was kind of looking forward though this evening to spending some time with buddies, but I just ended up here down town Burg-town in the usual Starbucks locale having some tea.
I also decided that this year since I won't have that much real time to do shopping in stores facing all sorts off madness, why not do it online? :)
It might be a little more effective since I can do it at my convenience, and it'll all get to the house whenever ^_^
I've started a little bit. I found a couple things for ppl at work.
I felt kinda bad last year because I wasn't able to shop for everyone who worked, but everyone shopped for me.. *blushes* .. but they all know I'm just busier than one of hell's angels.

After work my evening started rather as a disappointment.
Carrie called me on the road earlier and told me she knows I'll find something to do regardless of how hopeless a situation may be. *laughs*
She was right. I didn't really need to find someone to hang out with because it was time I could spend with myself.
I now know of something really good to do with my Triple variations that will completely blow the house!
For some reason my biorhythms don't really work too well when deadlines are far away.
I need the pressure of things approaching that I can't get out of in order to perform to my best and fullest. .. well.. most of the time *smiles*

I was chatting with one of my old buddies a couple nights ago, and she had mentioned she wanted to go watch Wicked at TBPAC since it will be in town Jan - Feb.
She was also saying how no one wants to go with her to go see it.
I told her I would : ) and we joked about it a few minutes before we actually started looking for tickets.
ALL the tickets were sold out.. well.. almost all of them.
We were able to find tickets to see the show end of Jan or something.. can't remember..
But we will both have fun since we'll be sitting all the way in the back enjoying a really really good show.
Regardless of how crappy our seats were we were able to find 2 seats together :)
I laughed and said we can get a couple of those snooty looking opera spyglasses so we can at least look classy sitting all the way in the back of the theater... all the way at the top.. *chuckles*
We'll see how it goes :)

REFLECTIONAL:

How can people posess the mentality that they are always on top of their game in life when they don't participate in any of its events. I mean, isn't life NOT a spectator sport? I thought that you have to partake in life to live it. How bout these people that talk all big, but when you want to get them to join you in things that they say they are sooo used to and so good at doing, that they chicken out... ?? what's all that about? You're not quite sure whether or not to believe what they say, or to just ignore them and send them along their way with the nod of the head and a smile. Oh well... only little things can tell why people do that. Or maybe nothing at all can explain them. Are they crazy? or am I crazy?? Sometimes you have to think about who, how, and why people are the way they are. How twisted can things really get??? But then again, each person is normal in their own way. Interpretation is all how these things are looked at.. but what is right and what is wrong? or is there any wrong?

Jack's Birthday

Listening - Cocktail Piano Goes to the Movies

Today was Jack's birthday.
I had to work midshift today @ the store, and that took up most of my day.
We met again this evening @ Sunset Grill on 30th Ave and 9th St where we met last year on the very same day, and sat in probalby virtually the same spot. We were having fun talking about old times, joking around about Bill Engvall, and music :) I saw Kristie Zimmerman tonight there also :) She gave me a big hug and we talked for a few minutes about what was going on in our modern day lives, etc. She said she's back @ SPC doing elementary education.

Then I spent a little time with Jack over at his mom's house and we surfed the net playing Crash Bandicoot for a long time *laughs*

Anyway, I've been feeling a whole lot better lately since I've been able to get nearer to my full night's sleep. I think we're going to Auntie Miner's for Thanksgiving, so we'll be there. It's been really windy and violent outisde the past week, so it's been a little hard to drive somewhat.

I hope to get to see everyone again soon in the group :)

Regardless of how cliche it is I'll say it for no other reason than it being absolutely true.   


                      "Today is the start of the rest of your life.."


             I'm not really sure if there's more that I should add to that or not, but I DO know that being ourselves in the process is the best weapon we have against our own hardships.   What better to face your trials with nothing to hide as opposed to  it otherwise.  Sometimes losing touch with reality is enough of a burden on itself.  It's a good thing sometimes to do in order to clear one's mind from strife and grief.  Once you get there you'll know, because, believe it or not, you will be prepared to face your troubles.



     Sneaking up on those troubles isn't really necessary, but being able to face them and how will determine your game.  Whatever you have in your hands at the time of confrontation, be it a pencil, a ball, a hammer, or a cake, is meant for you to have for that particular moment in time.  So don't fight it.



Too many people don't like to work hard for what they need in life.  They don't arrive where they want most of the time.  For those who DO manage to arrive where they want, almost always aren't content with the WAY they arrive.  Life is just life.  You take it or leave it.  Whatever happens happens.  You can't gripe about taking the school bus everyday, and not WANT to be at school because you didn't get to drive there.  You're already there!  So don't bitch about how u got there if you've already arrived.  Chances are, someone's watching you.


            
Even if you're accompanied by a couple of Mexicans towing you to a date's house with loud bad music in a hydrolicized convertible...   You got there, and you're picking her up!  Nothing else matters!       

Because "That's my ride."





Well u know what?   Regardless of where you are in life, birds of a feather tend to flock together.  Your friends who love you will always be around you whether you like it or not.  I do it either way.  I like it AND I don't like it.  Everyone has to take life how it comes at them.  If no one did, then we'd be running around in circles trying to catch our tails!  But we're human, and we don't have tails.  Just a fleshy rear end we call a bottom.  Ain't gonna catch nothing there, so face your problem with your friends in hand.  They're always around for you, they'll always look out for you.  Just don't crap out on them when they need you too. 




I've adopted a new philosophy for life which is so true, and is so simple.  I hope you all would also.  If I had my way everyone would do this:

      Yesterday we went to the beach.  The weather was very nice.  The sun was shining a little bit too hot for my blood so I either sat in the shade or walked in order to cool myself.  I took a walk, and noticed there were a lot of surfers all around me.  The number of people at the beach alone was pretty significant.  I plugged into the Pod and set off down the beach towards the channel.  Susan, Mudhit, Stew, Kitty, and Paul were on the beach.  There were surfers of all shapes and sizes.  Almost everyone who was in the water was either holding on to or paddling out on their surfboards if they weren't waiting for a nice crest to rip up.  Walking towards the boat channel I caught sight of an older guy riding a wake pretty far into the channel swimming out of it when it.  Stew, Susan, and Mudhit followed me.   I took a seat on some rocks out in the middle of the water where I wouldn't get wet by the crashing waves.

            

            The sky was somewhat starting to get dark and I felt raindrops on my arm.  I decided that it was time to walk back so I did.  On the way back I met up with the 3 that followed and we all returned to our post.  Kristie was there with Paul on his surfboard sitting in the sand.  She didn't seem to have the desire to hit the water so I took my shoes off, took off my belt, emptied my pockets, strapped up and ran for the water.  The water was incredibly warm, the waves were sensationally refreshing, and the feeling of the air on my wet skin wasn't cold at all.

Stew Man sits on the beach watching waves, girls, rain, clouds, who knows.  But he's definetly enjoying himself.  I took a couple of plunges, but was successful at catching some waves!  It felt really neat to ride a wave !  I was like WOW.  Then everything was all quiet after we got out of the water.

Ever see something in the water, or in the sky.. or maybe even in a dream that made you wonder if what you did the day before was really real?  Or, was what you did in your dream what happened and you skipped a day in life but everything is fixed to trick you that it's not?  Deja vu, or just chemical imbalances or variances your head doing quirky things to your cerebral cortex.   Sometimes I wonder if there is a predetermined reality for each person already and we're just living it out like we don't know what's going to happen.   *shrugs*

 Now, life is becoming more and more busy.  Each day I struggle more and more to keep my chin up to get myself to the end.  It feels as though I'm tiring much more easily than I used to.  I feel more drained after a shorter day at work than I do from a longer day.. no wait, I still feel drained after a long day. 

        The kids love me because I'm their teacher.  I love them because their unconditionality is my endurance.  I want them to learn everything I know so that they'll be better, happier, and much more sucessful musicians.  To them I'm their role model.

       I told him that I wasn't really a coffee drinker.  He nodded and slumped a little bit when he heard that I didn't.  Instead I reached into my pocket and gave him what was in it.  Just a few dollars.  "Donate this.  Let it go directly to your cause."  He smiled and looked at me in question.  He took those few dollars, and put it in his collection fund.


        It's windy outside.  I sometimes feel that life is comprised of your encounters pertaining to what the wind sweeps to you and away from you.  The wind is time.  What do you do with time that's not yours?  No one really knows.  How do you hang onto what the wind is bound to blow away from you?  You probably can't..



  If you did hold on you'd probably get lofted and bound to smack into something that'll make you let go.

    I used to be convinced that nothing came to me in mysterious ways.  Boy was I wrong.  HORRIBLY wrong!  In fact I've learned that everyday of my life is filled with mysterious little things that make it up ^_^ They can be little colors on someone's shirt that are nice, to sharing your lunch with a little kid who's sitting next to you, or even just being a friend to a person who looks up to you.

    These sorts of things can provoke so many thoughts and inspirations that you would never imagine could ever happen.  Try it!  It'll change your world when you feel the need to seek out these subtle but not insignificant little things throughout your day. 

"Life is golden, life is grand, life is full of surprises and instances that show us where and how we stand.  I really don't know how they come to be about by some higher power which is always providing, always knowing what's best for us even if we feel it may not be.  I believe we are not given but are guided to a destiny.  The path we choose to take to it is all up to us.."   

    Now it's all up to you which you pick to do during the course of the day.  Make it bright, make it golden, make it thoughtful.. make it really count!  Then reflect on it.   After doing so, ask yourself at the end of the day "How did I do?"  Because the only one who benefits from it is not just you; it's EVERYONE whom you interacted with!
